Holiday Clubs in Darlington

This post was initially put together in May 2023. I have since checked and updated it in July 2024.


Please contact the organisers directly with the details provided for any further queries for specific holiday periods. These are all the ones I’m aware of that generally hold holiday clubs. I’ve added a few extra that are offering holiday clubs for 2024.

They offer holiday clubs at West Park Academy, DL2 2GF and also St George's Church of England Academy in Middleton St George, DL2 1LD

♦️Theatre Hullabaloo♦️

Suitable for aged 6-10 years.

12th-15th August 2024

£20 per child per day, £18 additional sibling.

Develop creative skills in our fun summer activity week. 4 days of sound, drama, creative-writing and craft to bring to life your very own cardboard city.  Our brilliant facilitators and specialist artists will be on hand to help make it happen.

Attend the full 4 days or choose just your preferred days.

Additional Hullabaloo Chill Out Club can be added on- 9am-10am & 3pm-4pm, £5 per child per day.


FREE CHURCH/COMMUNITY FUNDED HOLIDAY CAMPS


♦️ Deep Sea Divers Club

Darlington Baptist Church, Grange Road, DL15NR. Lunch also included. Reception to year 6.

♦️Restoration Station Holiday Club

St Cuthberts Church & Holy Trinity Church, Darlington

6-11 year olds

Tuesday 31st July til Thursday 1st August

10am til 3pm.

Games, music, crafts, bible stories and more.

FREE COUNCIL/PARTIALLY FUNDED HOLIDAY CAMPS


These holiday camps/activities are provided for low income families. They include various activities and include a free meal at each session. To be eligible, families must be in receipt of benefits-related free school meals, in receipt of Universal Credit, or experiencing financial difficulties.

EXTRA FUNDING PROVIDED TO LOCAL GROUPS FOR EXTRA FREE SPACES THROUGH FUN AND FOOD FOR NON BENEFIT FAMILIES


Fun and Food County Durham funding has been provided to local groups this year on top of their usual free programme. This is for residents in the County Durham council area. This has been provided so that children who do not get a benefits-related free school meal, but do meet one of the criteria below, can now also attend sessions;

* Children with a special educational need or disability

* Children in care

* Children who are home educated

* Children with a Social Worker or Early Help Key Worker

* Children at risk of anti-social behaviour

* Children with poor school attendance and/or children excluded from school

* Children affected by the cost-of-living crisis

* Other reasons identified by applicant such as living in an isolated or extremely rural area


Some groups that I know of that are offering sessions with these extra free spaces through this funding include Learning a New Way CIC and Little Land of Adventures, Ferryhill.



HOLIDAY CLUBS IN OTHER NEARBY TOWNS


♦️Hardwick Holiday Club

5th-9th August, 9am-4pm.

Ages 5-11

£25 per child, per day

Early drop off/late pick up can be arranged for an extra cost.

Can attend all week or selected days. A range of outdoor adventures while making new friends, playing games, and learning new skills. Each day of Holiday Club will involve a themed activity followed by free play in the afternoons.

♦️ Hardwick Conservation Champions

29/07-04/08, 9am-4pm

Ages 11-16 years

£25 per day

Early drop/ late pick up can be arranged for extra cost.

Interactive games, free time, creative activities, as well as conservation tasks to help nurture and develop a love and respect for green spaces. Full week attendance will also earn attendees a Durham Countryside Conservation Champions Certificate whilst attendees attending for a day or two you will become one of our Hardwick Heroes.
