Independent restaurants offering Kids eat Free/Low Cost Kids Options

I have put together this post to try and help independent eateries as a lot of the chain restaurants that offer kids eat for £1/free are always getting circulated. Hopefully this will give you some different options too for something a little different and support small businesses.
I will try to check this prior to each school holiday period. If you know of any other places offering low cost kids meals options then please feel free to add to comments.
Please do also check directly with the venue for the Ts and Cs including any child age restrictions, if table bookings are required and if there’s any changes since publishing. I have hyperlinked the venues names below to take you to their website (or socials if they don’t have one).
October Half Term Deals 2025
Kids eat for £1 when adults order from the A La Carte Menu (see kids menu further down). Monday 27th October-Saturday 1st November at 5pm.
Kids eat for £1 when adults order any main meal for the main menu (see kids menu further down). Saturday 25th October-Saturday 1st November (excludes Sundays)
Kids eat for £1 when adults order any main meal for the main menu (see kids menu further down).
Monday 27th October-Friday 31st October.
All Year Round Offers
Darlington
Varied and healthy options on the Kids Menu at Al Forno, Darlington (also at Ingleby Barwick). Options from just £4.50. Or make your own pizza (add your own toppings) for an extra £1.50.
Kids eat for £1 all day Saturdays and after school 3-5pm Monday-Friday at The Copper Beach, Darlington. (With any adult main meal purchased). Or other times it’s only £5.95 with free ice cream. For under 10s.
Kids Menu at The Burtree Inn only £6.95 for a drink, Starter, Main and Dessert. For under 12s only. Baby Bowls available for under 2s for £2.50
Kids eat for £1 all day everyday at The Wheatsheaf. With any adult main meal purchased. Excluding Sundays. Ages 12 and Under.
Teesside
Kids eat free every Saturday at The Treebridge Hotel and Restaurant, Middlesbrough. (One per each paid adults meal from fixed/main menu)
£1 lunch for kids at MIMA, Middlesbrough on Saturdays when taking part in the FREE family art trolley activity.
Kids eat free (under 13s) every Tuesday at Cluck & Moo, Redcar (one free kids meal with every adult meal purchased).
Kids eat free every Wednesday and Thursday at Base Pizzeria and Bar, Marske by the Sea. (Under 12s get a free pizzetta with every adult meal ordered)
County Durham
Kids eat free at The Undercroft Cafe in Durham Cathedral during local school holidays (two children can eat for free with minimum adult spend £5). Little ones can chose from a plate of beans on toast or a sandwich and snack, either a piece of fruit or cookie.
Kids eat free at Gabrielle’s Italian, Bishop Auckland from Tuesday-Thursday. (Under 12s. With every adult meal starter/main-child gets same for free off child’s menu). Kids Main Meals at Gabrielle’s Italian in Bishop Auckland only £4.95 (outside of kids eat free days).
Or every Saturday lunchtime 12-2:30pm, any Pizza or Pasta £5
North Yorkshire
Kids Little Meal Deal £6.50 at Governors House, Northallerton (Little Main and drink).
Tyne and Wear
The Glass House at Whitley Bay-3 course for £5.95. Monday-Saturday 12pm-5pm (options suitable for kids and adults)
Twenty Twenty Newcastle Kids Menu pizza/pasta options starting from £4.95 or meal deal including desserts and drink too £6.95 Including make your own pizza option.
Lunch Menu Offer-pizza/gnocci/sand-dough and a drink for only £5.95. Monday-Friday term time 12pm-3pm
